Dear colleagues

On behalf of the organizing committee, we are pleased to invite you to Granada for the First International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sports Management, to be held May 21-23, 2014. The full title of the conference is “Corporate Social Responsibility: New Alternatives for Sports Management”.

The conference has adopted an innovative academic-professional format that seeks to present Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a management model that can contribute significantly to the growth and success of the sports sector. The many repercussions for sports—their values and spirit, athletes who become models for millions of people—make this sector an extremely valuable one in which to implement CSR.

Granada is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The historic Arab influence gives it a unique cultural heritage, and it is known especially for the Alhambra and the Albayzín neighbourhood. Granada’s cuisine and nature, with the nearby Sierra Nevada, make it a destination that delights visitors.

The University of Granada, founded in 1531, is one of the historic universities of Spain. With over 60,000 students a year, the University is an authority in the higher education sector.

We look forward to seeing you in Granada and to enjoying the conference together in May, 2014.
